Ultimately, we aim to strengthen families and make a positive difference in their homes. We help them regain confidence and self-esteem by bridging the gap between them and other communities.

Life Changing Community Outreach Inc. (LCCO) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in good standing and on file, based on the greater Westside of Chicago Illinois, which serves the disconnected/at-risk youth and adults in the Austin and the surrounding communities. We offer evolving programs that include, but are not limited to providing resources, mentoring, housing, meals, jobs, after-school programs and entrepreneurship training. All Life Changing Community Outreach Inc. programs and activities are overseen by LCCO and efficiently facilitated with the help of partnering organizations; to maximize awareness, community involvement, and individual enjoyment. We humbly submit this brief overview of empowering events geared towards fostering and increase in healthy individual and community habits.

To Provide a Quality of Life, by providing programs and resources that will Empower and Change live. Where by strengthen families, where they can make a difference in their homes and communities. Providing programs that would impact and challenge our youth to regain confidence and self-esteem where by bridging the gap that will enrich and change their lives and our communities. 

Purpose 

To make the entire community more responsive to the needs and interests of  Low-income families and Disconnected/At Risk Youth By mobilizing programs and resources. Bringing about a greater sense of awareness and sensitivity to these issues. Assist youth and economically disadvantaged, and produce responsible, productive adults, through self-direction. " Can Something Good Come Out of The Austin Community and The Surrounding Area" The answer is "YES"


Our organization provides a range of programs and activities that have a measurable and potentially major impact on the causes of poverty in the Austin and its surrounding communities in Chicago, Illinois.

About Us

Our Founder


LCCO was founded in September 2014 by Yvette L. McKinnie. She has been a member of Prison Fellowship (Angel Tree) for more than 20 years.


She has also worked with the youth for more than 26 years by offering mentoring, tutoring, as well as social, academic, and youth entrepreneurship. Additionally, she partnered with various organizations to help other communities.

Our Founder

Life Changing Community Outreach Inc. (LCCO) is a non-profit community organization founded September 2013 and currently operates in the Austin Community by Yvette L. McKinnie. She currently reside in the Austin Community, where she has lived for the past 43 years. She has witnessed a rapid and steady increase in despair and hopelessness within The Austin Community over the past several years. She felt that something had to be done to help stem the downward spiral. When she envisions the change of this area, she references Ezekiel 37:1-10. "Can These Dry Bones Live ?" And the answer is resounding Yes! Life Changing Community Outreach Inc. was envisioned and has become a reality. It is time to change our community by changing lives!


Yvette L. McKinnie's She currently reside in the Austin Community, where she has lived for the past 43 years. She has witnessed a rapid and steady increase in despair and hopelessness within The Austin Community over the past several years. She felt that something had to be done to help stem the downward spiral.

Yvette Mckinnie affiliation with the following associations and agencies have inspired and given her a heart felt passion and unique view, insight and prospective into some of the many issues plaguing the Austin and surrounding areas and the various needs: 


  • Employee of  the Cook County Sheriff Dept. for 27 years.
  • She has worked with youth for over 28 years
  • Worked with the Homeless Food and Shelter for 28 year

  • A member of Prison Fellowship Ministry for over 22 years

  • Overseer of transition Disconnected Youth for 16 year

  • Mentoring for 25 years

  • Youth Pastor for 4 years.

She has worked with youth and adults for over 28 years in the following areas:
